Debugging multithreaded applications

Multithreading is one of the topics I’ll have to start looking at with more attention and I’m thinking of adding posts about it in the future. Today I’ve read an interesting article on how to debug multithreaded applications on the site Packt. The author has also written a book on that topic (which I’ve already received). Yes, I’ll be publishing a review about it when I finish reading it.

  1. Hi Luis,

If you”re looking into multithreading in earnest, be sure to check out the Concurrency and Coordination Runtime that comes with Microsoft Robotics Studio (http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/magazine/cc163556.aspx). It”s starting to be used by industries and applications far removed from the robotics world. Interesting stuff (which I wish I fully understood)!

  2. Yep, I”ll definitely do that…though I”m under the impression that parallel extensions already introduce some of the things you get from that framework…

  3. Parallel extensions has been on my “must read about” list for a while now…I”m going to have to bump it up to sooner rather than later. 😉

  4. really cool stuff…had to play with it because I needed some materials for the PT book on LINQ i was writing and yes, I was impressed…
